Mini Mirrors
This little used way to register your site with search engines is to creates mini-mirrors
of your site, and allows multiple submissions to most search engines. This process
dramatically increases your exposure, and has increased web site traffic by over 300% in
most cases.
Before beginning this process, we must have a copy of your introduction page for your web
site (generally 'index.htm', 'default.htm', or 'welcome.htm') on our local computer. When
you are ready to generate your mirrors, we select your introduction page and duplicate it
for all intensive purposes making changes to the title and META tags to give you more
appearances on most search engines!
(Note: We mentioned about the introduction page as an example. You
must provide us FTP access or the html code)
Internet Host will generate new META
tags and (5) mirrors for your site!, We then email these back to you and you have them
placed in the same directory as your original introduction page or if we have FTP access,
we can do this for you. Each of these mirrors (5 pages) will have a different URL, a
different title and a different file size. You can then register the
additional pages with the search engines in effect re-registering the whole site!
This is done because many search engines will not allow you to register you URL's more
than 1 time!
